Project 365 – Day 37

Plenty of leaves have decided to refill the yard. I thought I would get down on them and snap a few shots, this had a nice endless feel to it. We are supposed to get another dusting of snow tonight, if I am lucky I’ll get something interesting in the same spot tomorrow.

Project 365 – Day 34

Timed it just right this morning to catch the train again. Not by design mind you, but offered an opportunity for another shot of it shooting by. Processed with TiltShiftGen on the iPhone.

Project 365 – Day 33

Time to fall back on my good old tiltshift and iPhone. I am a sucker for taking a shot with the iPhone and then manipulating the image with TiltShiftGen, so here is another one.

Project 365 – Day 32

I had a bright idea that after my first attempts to capture it did not turn out so well. One thing I quickly discovered while trying to get this right, I need spare batteries for my camera. The longer the shutter is open the faster the battery drains, BIG TIME. Oh well, further experiments like this to follow. It was a start.

Project 365 – Day 31

Tools of the trade, or at least the hobby. One of many hobbies, and one i let go for long stretches so I never really get much better. But nice to have them around when the urge strikes.

Project 365 – Day 28

Stopped by a local used book store I like to check out every now and then. I don’t have the time to read nearly as much as I used to, but there is something about dropping in here and seeing what is on the new arrivals shelves I just can’t kick. Unlike most of the used bookstores in town this one Book Legger has pretty much anything, not just an abundance of romance. Don’t get me wrong they have plenty of those available, but they have a quality variety of everything else as well.

Project 365 – Day 27

Another close-up with the diopter filter. This time I’ll leave it to your imagination what this is. A hint, it once was alive and made a menacing sound.

Project 365 – Day 26

Not a lot to say about this one. Went to meet a friend for dinner and found most of the parking garage empty (it was still early) at the local people-quarium. Took this shot with the iPhone after the regular perspective shots seemed blah remembered a conversation I had at work with a co-worker about low angle shots. So here we have low angle and tiltshiftgen on the iPhone.

Project 365 – Day 25

This chess set was gift from my sister. I’ve always liked the style of the pieces and the board. I don’t play much, but once in a while Joani and I square off. We are evenly matched so it is usually a pretty good match.

Project 365 – Day 24

I took a shot similar to this with my diopter filters the first day I got them (the correct ones that is). This one is much better as that experience illustrated the need to clean things of dust as much as possible before zooming in. Then after you clean it , do it again. This is the side of a Razer gaming mouse, those numbers are buttons you can map to macros or they represent the number keys on the keyboard by default as well. I use them from time to time, but honestly my fingers are not nimble enough to make full use. I do however love the overall shape and feel of the mouse. Razer makes some great products and I would recommend them to anyone, gamer or not.
