This one is much better as that experience illustrated the need to clean things of dust as much as possible before zooming in. Then after you clean it , do it again. This is the side of a Razer gaming mouse, those numbers are buttons you can map to macros or they represent the number keys on the keyboard by default as well. I use them from time to time, but honestly my fingers are not nimble enough to make full use. I do however love the overall shape and feel of the mouse. Razer makes some great products and I would recommend them to anyone, gamer or not.

Several planets aligned last week and I finally pulled the trigger on a DSLR camera. It wasn’t a huge leap as I opted for a used Canon Rebel XT (EOS 350D) from B&H Photo and Video. I have had several false starts, strange circumstances getting in the way or taking priority, and just plain cold feet on making the purchase. This time though I had the extra cash, Joani had a need for a camera too for a research trip, and B&H had a decent camera in good shape used and priced well within the target budget.

Of course I have no sample shots yet because Joani left the day after it showed up on her research trip so maybe I will get a chance to play with it this weekend.

Two nights ago, my amazing spouse, stumped at what to get me for Christmas this year as I am gadget rich (she is very on top of assisting with feeding that portion of my brain) informed me we had an appointment last night to go get my present. I thought for a while, what could require an appointment. Ding, got it. Wandered up to her office and told her I was not really wanting a piercing, try again please. She liked that, said are you sure, and then said guess again.

Well last night we bundled up, (30 freakin degrees in Alabama is just wrong) and headed to Bridge Street. There we met with Kris who checked our info, processed and activated our new iPhones !!! Really to early to go into a lot of details, but as far as gadgets go, this one is right up there at the top of coolness. Considering we are both making the jump from standard 5 year old flip phones to essentially tiny computers, I should have lots to say. Already installed two free apps on it. Shazam and Twitterific. Shazam is supposed to let you hold the phone up to a speaker playing a song, do a quick search and tell you what that song is. Titterific is a Twitter client of course. Going to think about the wordpress client too.

The keyboard takes just a little time to get used to, navigation is mac heaven, overall the interface is nice as you would expect from an apple product. Well no real time this morning for more on it as it is Friday and the sooner I get to work the sooner I can leave :)
