Cedar Point 01
First of a few shots taken while at Cedar Point. Giving it the usual treatment. Really like the way this came out.
Bark
We went hiking on one of the trails in the Blevins Gap land trust area. I noticed a tree that had been struck by lightning, all the bark was stripped and spread evenly on the ground at it’s base. Joani suggested it might make a good texture. I of course could not leave it alone.
Untold Handgun Concept
I modeled this in Blender 3d based off a previous concept the guys had. It is a weapon for Untold The Game. This is a signature weapon for one of the characters. I’m still learning blender but think I am getting better with it.
Sea Turtle Accident
I liked the way this shot turned out even though technically it sucks. Taking pictures at an aquarium is a crap shoot (often literally crappy shots). The lighting is wonky, the glass can play with you in weird ways and the animals are on their own schedule. There was a lot of movement going on here and it ended up turning out kind of ghostly. I decided it was a keeper.
Recent Sunrise
Here is a recent shot I took with my iPhone of a nice sunrise on the way to work a couple of weeks ago. There is a larger copy up on Flickr
A Dragon in Virginia
I took this shot of a Komodo Dragon through the glass at the Virginia Aquarium while on vacation with the family. I took this with my Canon Rebel (film even). Pretty pleased overall with the shots I took this trip. I did notice that the film I had was 400 so I am thinking that washed things out a little.
December Snow part 2

Another shot of the snow today, this time I played with Camera Bag and used the cinema filter. One of these days I’ll pop for a full on DSLR but for now, the iPhone and the software apps you can get to play with the pictures right on the phone are darned fun.
December Snow TiltShift

Woke to a little snow this morning, this is off the front porch. Once the sun gets a bit more of a foothold on the day it will be a damp memory, but fun to see once a year down here in ‘Bama.
