Project 365 – Day 80
Was not going to post a pic today, my other attempt kinda failed, and then it started pouring rain. I was going out on the porch to chill with a beer and wait for my wife to make it home from work but others had the same idea as me about the porch and rain. The squirrel seeking shelter from the rain decide it was preferable to company and ran off. This jumping spider however as just fine with posing for some pix.
Project 364 – Day 79
This was taken using a magnifying glass stand seen in this shot. I had done something similar with a rubics cube early on and was going to try the same thing here when I remembered I had this stand from my miniature painting days. I used the stand to magnify the flower, then focused with the 35-80 lens. Sort of a poor mans macro shot.
Project 365 – Day 74
Noticed this little guy as I was heading back to work. Grabbed my camera which conveniently had the +10 diopter already on the lens. He ran around a little till he got used to the giant eye in his face and I snagged a couple of shots.
Project 365 – Day 71
A return to the old watch from a previous day. I realized the other day I had passed up a perfect macro opportunity and not taken any pictures of the internals of the watch. Nice rainy day outside, so I got it out of the case and set it up. Just a little light filter work and levels adjustments again.
Day 70 TiltShift version
You know me and that TiltShift thing…
Sitting on a particularly long call today I grabbed yesterday’s mushroom picture and ran it through tiltshiftgen. Came out pretty decent.
Project 365 – Day 70
First mushroom of the spring, not nearly as attractive as the first flowers, but still a sign things are moving in the right direction. Looking forward to a season with more macro shots of these this year.
Project 365 – Day 68
I’ve had this box of shells for a while. I am pretty sure they have been sitting in a cupboard for a few years as I am confident they are reloads my Uncle made. No telling how old they are but I am doubtful they will ever get fired. Not sure how safe that would be.
Project 365 – Day 67
This time I grabbed on old sea urchin shell or whatever you call what is left when they die and played with light a bit.Turned out they are much more interesting when lit from within. Lighting was two led flashlights, one through the tissue paper off to the side and the other shining directly down through the hole in the top.
Project 365 – Day 66
I’ve been seeing a white and red box on a shelf pretty much every day for a few months. I knew what was in it, and today is the first day it occurred to me to open it up and take some pictures. I took a whole batch and they were all boring. So I paused for a few then started over. These are much more interesting.
Project 365 – Day 64
Not sure what this thing is, but it sure looked cool leaning up against a brick wall. Nice mix of clean metal and rust. Loved the industrial look of the recessed screws too.
