Games ..

Anyone who knows me or reads this blog knows I like games. I get into beta tests once in a while for various MMO’s. The latest to let me in was Age of Conan. I was marginally interested in this one, but skeptical because it is likely to be another attempt at mixing PVP and PVE gaming which seem to always fail (game play wise) on some level.

Going to school, starting a new job, and having a blast playing Rock Band with Joani did not leave much time for me to give it a go. I finally downloaded and patched the client. Launched it and logged in only to have the game never get past a black screen after the initial static load screens. My system is a pretty straight forward configuration so, I wont be wasting anytime troubleshooting it. Just not enough time. Based on the word around the blogs, I am not the only one having client problems, and they are starting to sound like another VERY rocky launch candidate similar to Vanguard.

LOTRO however is proving to be quite awesome :)
